Joywave played support to PVRIS at Electric Brixton and by all accounts it was the usual scrum in a rather tight press pit.
Heaping on the agony for the jostling ‘togs was the usual lack of fifty pence pieces for the electric meter making everything all ‘moody like’, raising important questions about shutter speeds and ISO’s and getting thumbs frantically twiddling dials.
Ploughing through their mighty ‘Possesion‘ tour, which eventually finishes up in Rochester, NY. Joywave were picking up change by supporting PVRIS on this night in Brixton. They are then bound for Europe to catch some virus or other to take back to the good old U S of A for the Spring.
Their set was sniffle free, playful and impressive. They hit out bangers from Somebody New through to Tongues, setting the moody groove for PVRIS but I ask you, where’s a god damned flash bulb when you need one?
With surgical masks in place and hands dripping in over priced Love Hearts scented hand gel, we humbly offer you our spoils from the fray…. achoo.
