One of the world’s most celebrated and enduring rock bands with a diehard, loyal fanbase, TESLA has enjoyed international chart, radio, and tour success for nearly 35 years, with multi-platinum albums and global album sales topping 15 million.
That they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. TESLA may have been born in the mid ‘80s eruption of excess, but this band has never been about those things. Their bluesy, soulful sound is strongly embedded in the roots of organic, authentic 1970s rock and roll. The same roots that produced bands like the Allman Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Aerosmith.
TESLA’s legacy is alive and well as they continue to record and sellout venues all over the world. As worn in and comfortable as your favorite pair of jeans, TESLA endures because they are a celebration of the greatest spirits of rock and roll.

One our favourite country artists at the moment and at just 24 years old Morgan is the blue eyed baby of country music. Whiskey Glasses and Up Down have been constants on our playlist and have already cemented themselves as new country classics.
Hot on the heels of his sold-out U.S. headlining run and a nationwide direct support slot on Jason Aldean’s WE BACK TOUR, Big Loud Records star Morgan Wallen will bring his talents and raved-about live show across the pond for his first European headline run, featuring five UK shows. Check out the video for current single ‘Chasin’ You’, taken from debut album If I Know Me here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBduQb1S-4s.
“I can’t wait to get over to the UK for my first time ever,” shares Wallen. “I’ve always heard how amazing the fans are over there – looking forward to experiencing it for myself. Y’all get ready for a good time!”
The tour, promoted by Live Nation, launches May 14th at Manchester’s Gorilla, with Wallen bringing longtime collaborator and friend HARDY along for the ride. With Top 25 debut single “Rednecker,” and four Platinum-certified #1 singles as a songwriter under his belt – alongside upcoming state-side touring runs with Cole Swindell and Thomas Rhett – the rising singer-songwriter adds to his resumé with the international stint.
MORGAN WALLEN UK HEADLINE TOUR DATES:
May 14 | Manchester, UK – Gorilla
May 15 | London, UK – The Garage
May 16 | London, UK – The Garage (Extra date added)
May 17 | Newcastle, UK – O2 Academy 2
May 19 | Glasgow, SCT – SWG3 Warehouse
After wrapping the international trek, Wallen will join Luke Bryan’s PROUD TO BE RIGHT HERE TOUR, starting May 28 and rolling nationwide through October 10 with major stops at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, New York City’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Staples Center, and more.
Last Friday (Jan 31st), Wallen released a new version of Platinum-certified Diplo collaboration “Heartless,” adding Julia Michaels to the mix and pairing it with a fiery new music video, directed by Brandon Dermer and shot in Nashville, WATCH HERE. Wallen is in the studio now working on his second album with producer Joey Moi, expected for release in 2020.
ABOUT MORGAN WALLEN:
With over 1.5 BILLION career streams to his credit, multiple GOLD and PLATINUM certifications and Billboard’s #1 song of 2019 on both the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts (the PLATINUM multi-week #1, “Whiskey Glasses”), Morgan Wallen has officially staked his claim as Country music’s next superstar. The dynamic Tennessee native has been riding a red-hot win streak since 2017, collecting accolades which also include two straight chart-toppers, his first-ever CMA Awards nomination (2019 New Artist of the Year), a nod for 2019 CMT Breakthrough Video of the Year(“Whiskey Glasses”), spotlight placements on PEOPLE’s 2019 Ones to Watch and MusicRow’s 2019 Next Big Thing lists, and high-profile features by The Associated Press, The Washington Post, Genius, and more. While his romantically charged current single, “Chasin’ You,” races up the Country charts, Wallen closed out the decade with the surprise release of his reflective coming-of-age anthem, “This Bar,” and then launched his third consecutive headlining tour – MONSTER ENERGY OUTBREAK TOUR PRESENTS: MORGAN WALLEN’S WHISKEY GLASSES ROADSHOW. The breakout talent is now preparing his second album, expected for 2020 release, and is on the road as direct support for Jason Aldean’s WE BACK TOUR.
ABOUT HARDY:
Big Loud Records/Tree Vibez Music’s HARDY continues to put his loud-and-rowdy stamp on modern Country music as both an artist and a CMA-nominated songwriter (Song of the Year – “God’s Country”). Releasing HIXTAPE VOL. 1, with 17 all-star collaborations (Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett, Dustin Lynch) on 10 brand new tracks, the unprecedented compilation album has been praised as “one of the most ambitious projects of the year” (Billboard). The countrified mixtape follows career-launching EPs THIS OLE BOY and WHERE TO FIND ME, which produced Top 25 debut single “REDNECKER,” the down South, swampy anthem that defines his brand of Country. The pride of Philadelphia, MS, has been named a Vevo DSCVR artist, MusicRow 2020 Next Big Thing artist, and “One To Watch” by CMT, Rolling Stone, Amazon, Pandora and more. As a songwriter, HARDY is “one of Music Row’s most consistent hit-makers on the rise” (CMT), tallying four #1 singles in 18 months – Morgan Wallen’s PLATINUM “Up Down” (feat. Florida Georgia Line), FGL’s 2X PLATINUM “Simple,” Chris Lane’s PLATINUM “I Don’t Know About You” and Shelton’s PLATINUM “God’s Country.” HARDY will join Cole Swindell’s DOWN TO EARTH TOUR in March, and Thomas Rhett’s CENTER POINT ROAD TOUR this summer. His next single, “One Beer,” hits radio airwaves nationwide in February.

Joining the already-announced Wilco (South England exclusive), The Waterboys, The Dead South, Courtney Marie Andrews, The Felice Brothers and many more will be the likes of Shooter Jennings, Wildwood Kin, Jade Bird, Saving Grace (featuring Robert Plant and Suzi Dian) amongst many more.

Saving Grace is a co-operative featuring Robert Plant & Suzi Dian (vocals), Oli Jefferson (percussion), Tony Kelsey (mandolin, baritone & acoustic guitars) and Matt Worley (banjo, acoustic and baritone guitars and cuatro). Furthermore, this odyssey has been undertaken in the spirit of appreciation, musicianship and exultation. They truly are a band of joy. “From a whisper to a scream…”

Irish singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Imelda May will bring her unique vocal talent to the festival. Her career spans seventeen years and includes collaborations with such musical heavyweights as Ronnie Wood, Jeff Beck and Jools Holland, helping her achieve over thirty million streams. Dubbed ‘the other queen of Ireland’ by Bono, Imelda is providing a strong case to become Irish royalty with the recent success of her brilliant ‘Life Love Flesh Blood’ album – co-produced by roots legend T Bone Burnett and is a former UK Americana Charts number 1.
Born in Northumberland, Jade Bird exploded onto the music scene at an early age. In 2017 Bird won the ANCHOR 2017 award of the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg and also was a finalist for the BBC Sound Of Award in 2018. Her debut EP ‘Something American’ was released and soon followed by her self-titled album (the 2020 recipient of the ‘Best Selling Americana Album’ at the UK Americana Awards last month) which includes songs such as ‘Love Has All Been Done Before and ‘Uh Huh”. The album went to number one in the UK Folk charts and got to number ten in the UK charts. In 2019, Bird won the International Breakthrough award at the AIM Independent Music Awards and was invited on a US tour with Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit and Father John Misty.

Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Shooter Jennings is an American singer-songwriter best known for his rocky side of country music and his hits ‘The Gunslinger’ and ‘Outlaw You’. Jennings has released seven albums including his debut ‘Put The “O” Back In Country’, which hit the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts with the single ‘4th of July’. Shooter has worked with big hitters including Billy Ray Cyrus, Wanda Jackson and Deana Carter and co-wrote and produced Guns ‘n’ Roses legend Duff McKagen’s 2019 solo record. Jennings has also appeared in films and series such as Walk the Line, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Marvel’s The Punisher. He recently recorded his father Waylon’s hit ‘Mama Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys’ (the theme to the Netflix series The Ranch) alongside fellow country royalty offspring Lukas Nelson.
Birds of Chicago are married duo Allison Russell and JT Nero. Birds Of Chicago were founded in 2012 in Chicago, Illinois and have released three studio albums and one live album. UK Alt-folk trio Wildwood Kin is made up of sisters Beth and Emillie Key and their cousin Meghann Lonely. The band has over twenty million streams across their EPs and debut studio album. “There’s a drive, a crunching sense of abandon that litters every song they place their name against. Three musicians with a taste for ambition” – Clash. Each song on their debut album ‘Turning Tides’ was built around a message that suits the band as can be heard on ‘The Crown’ which questions if politicians would actually stand for their beliefs if they had no power.

In 2015, Bowen released his most successful album so far, ‘Hold My Beer, Vol.1’, which went to number 4 in Billboard’s Us Top Country Albums. Josh describes his life as “… surreal. I feel lucky that I get to write songs and make music for a living. Never expected it, never thought about it either.” He has topped the Billboard and iTunes Charts and his debut EP got to number 15 on the top 100 iTunes country albums chart.
Infectious Welsh trio The Goat Roper Rodeo Band consist of just an upright bass, two guitars and medley of vocal harmonies. Recently released LP, ‘Tall Grass’ marks the third release from the band and continues their showcase of Bob Dylan and Waylon Jennings inspired country blues, one of those bands you just can’t afford to miss at the festival.

During the 1930s, more than 80,000 refugees came to Britain from Nazi-dominated Europe. Amongst those escaping anti-Semitic and political persecution were a surprising number of women photographers. Often established practitioners, these women brought fresh, modernist perspectives that opened up British photography in the decades that followed.
ANOTHER EYE is the first UK exhibition to showcase this group of women, exploring both their collective influence and inspiring personal stories. It is an opportunity to see original prints by established photographers, including Dorothy Bohm, Edith Tudor-Hart, Elsbeth Juda and Gerti Deutsch, and to discover new work by lesser-known practitioners like Elisabeth Chat, Laelia Goehr and Erika Koch.
Faced with the traumas of exile, leaving behind their livelihoods and their loved ones, these enterprising photographers overcame personal struggles to build new lives in Britain. Many re-established their studios, producing portraits of Britain’s prominent cultural figures. Some worked in social-reportage, documenting issues of the day for magazines like Picture Post and Lilliput. Others turned to commercial work in fashion, advertising and publishing.

Today, Jerskin Fendrix is back with a new pop banger ‘A Star Is Born’. Named for the 1937 film, Jerskin swaggers with a faux arrogance, ‘call the fire service, ‘cause I’m on fire’. The music is built on a mudslide of his distinctive synth-pop production. Sprinting through exactly 3 minutes of hyperactivity, he tosses references to Nick Cave, Shame, Puccini and Wim Wenders into his mythology.
Listen HERE.
The single is accompanied by the announcement of Jerskin’s anticipated debut album ‘Winterreise‘, which is due out 17th April.
The new single and album were both announced via the Quietus, who also spoke to Jerskin in great detail about his writing process, influences and the new album. Read more HERE.
The announcement also follows the recent release of Jerskin’s warped single ‘Black Hair, which was accompanied by haunting visuals made by Liam Noonan, the artist behind the custom visuals at London clubbing institution FOLD.
Jerskin Fendrix has been carving himself a special place on the London scene. Starting out by releasing a trilogy of video singles that have already received high praise from a vast array of major publications. In 2018, he composed the score to an experimental absurdist opera ‘UBU’ at the V&A (receiving 4 stars from the Guardian) before embarking on a UK tour and joint single release with rock phenomenon Black Midi.
As a classically trained pianist and violinist, Fendrix’s practice and ambition extends far beyond the realm of traditional songwriting. His avant-garde take on electronic pop cannibalises and appropriates elements of pop culture at the service of very personal songs. All of his material has an emotionally playful sarcastic take on the tropes of modern life, whilst also delving inwards. Most of all, it can’t be easily pigeonholed.
Winterreise is the fruit of Jerskin Fendrix’s first 3 years as an artist. His debut album spans an improbable range of music, skimming UK Grime, Bruce Springsteen, Sibelius, Joanna Newsom, PC Music and ‘50s Doo-Wop without alighting. Jerskin’s Winterreise, named after Schubert’s Winterreise, conveys the same message: if you spend too long writing a breakup album, something weird will happen. The album will contain 10 tracks and run for 43 minutes.
Fendrix will also play a number of tour and festival dates across the year – more details TBA.

The 24 year old grew up in Harlem “around a lot of great musicians,” he says. The city is synonymous with vibrancy, art and music ever since the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s and 1930s. Situated in Manhattan, New York City, that period saw a creative surge sweep the neighbourhood, which included writer and political activist Hubert Harrison, entertainer and civil rights activist Josephine Baker as well as the rise of legendary jazz players such as Duke Ellington who was one of the early performers at the now world famous Cotton Club. The Jazz scene was exploding with the likes of Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Cab Calloway, Fats Waller, Billie Holiday, and Bessie Smith all coming through the city and that was just the tip of the iceberg. Whilst Harlem has been home to the greats such as Al Pacino, the Marx Brothers, James Reese Europe, George and Ira Gershwin, Arthur Miller, Sammy Davis Jr, Sonny Rollins…the list goes on. There’s something in the water there. He enrolled to the Harlem School of Arts and the prestigious educational program Jazzmobile, and while performing on his home turf, he also expanded to venues such as the Iridium, the Red Rooster, Ashford & Simpson’s Sugar Bar, Terra Blues and more. After high school Hicks began playing in Europe, opening for Jeff Beck and Ringo Starr, playing festivals in Spain and France, as well as at the Cotton Club in Tokyo, and being booked on KISS Kruise V in 2017 and on this year’s Joe Bonamassa Blues Alive at Sea Cruise. He’s shared stages with the likes of Tony Bennett, Beth Hart, George Thorogood & the Destroyers, Mavis Staples, Paul Shaffer and others. He has also performed at the United Nations in New York City, for former Mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg, former Governor of New York David Paterson and during a New York Knicks game. One of the iconic portraits will be of Nelson Mandela that was shot in 1997 at his Presidential home by Jillian Edelstein. The portrait was among other things used for the cover of The New York Times and Times Magazine.
I can recall the moment when Nelson Mandela tried to grab my light meter as I was preparing to photograph him, because he did not know what it was. I remember that he apologised and put it down to the fact that he was “just a country bumpkin”. Jillian Edelstein for The Guardian
