A Rockandfuckingroll Assault – THE VICE
Filthy and powerful yet musical and full of grooves – With their 2020 unleashed album, entitled White Teeth Rebellion (Noble Demon), Swedish death metal band THE VICE have released a hell-ish angst affair between the light and dark.
Being well aware of how to invade the darker side of your soul, the band’s sophomore opus turned out to be a gloomy, meanasfuck rock and metal album, truly with the band members hearts on its sleeves.
In support of their latest full-length record, THE VICE just shared a brand new music video for the album opening track.
'The tremors spread throughout the plains..'
'A Barren State' kickstarts our latest album 'White Teeth Rebellion' in a roaring fashion. A full frontal rockandfuckingroll assault clad in a sinister metal gown. Heads down, horns up and let the second act commence" the band states.
White Teeth Rebellion was released on August 7th 2020 on Noble Demon.

Having A Blast – United Defiance
San Francisco punks United Defiance have unveiled a new music video for their latest single “Sing With Me,” off their upcoming album ‘Change The Frequency,’ due out on October 1 (Digi/CD), with a vinyl release to follow in early 2022 via Thousand Islands Records.
The band says, "The concept for the Sing With Me video was to show two rival groups, like the Sharks and the Jets from West Side Story, playing pranks on each other in the tradition of films like Animal House. One of those groups just happens to be sock puppets. Because the song is about unity, the video shows that at the end of the day, you can always make the choice to buy the other guy a drink and have a blast in spite of differences. And sock puppets are funny as hell."

The new LP features guest vocals from Dave Pederson (Downway), Jason Devore (Authority Zero) and others, and is the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Safe At Home.
The Bay Area 5-piece plays a mix of skatepunk and melodic hardcore inspired by the iconic bands of 90’s-era Fat and Epitaph. Their tight sound and high-energy live shows have seen them sharing the stage with numerous headlining acts over the years including Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Anti-Flag, Good Riddance, Strung Out, and many others.
Appearances at the 2019 Music 4 Cancer and Red Bridge Festivals in Montreal and Quebec, respectively, led to United Defiance signing with Montreal-based label, Thousand Islands Records. Working remotely to stay productive throughout 2020, United Defiance wrote, rehearsed, and recorded Change the Frequency as well as staying engaged with fans via two Live Stream events on Facebook with Takeover Live in Southern California.
United Defiance looks forward to hitting the road again, seeing old friends, and making new ones. They cordially invite you to join them for some tasty, tasty punk rock.

Post-black Metal Soundscapes – Waldgeflüster
Revered German black metal band Waldgeflüster will release their 6th studio album, Dohoam, on September 24th with AOP Records.
Waldgeflüster (English: Forest Whisperings) was founded in 2005 and has become critically known and beloved by fans for their reflective and engaging topics of nature and humanity that are brought to life with a melancholic and melodic style of atmospheric post-black metal that recalls the likes of Ulver, Panopticon, Wolves in the Throne Room and Falls of Rauros.
After exploring the concept of wilderness on their 2011 acclaimed record “Femundsmarka,” Waldgeflüster’s non-consecutive, visionary followup, “Dahoam,” takes listeners on an introspective journey home with raw, emotionally charged post-black metal soundscapes.
Making An Impact – Fuzzy Sun
Indie-rock risers Fuzzy Sun continue their foray into unabashed anthems with the release of a new single, ‘Morning Light’ – taken from the band’s forthcoming new EP ‘Since The Dog Died’, due November 2021.
The second release in somewhat of a new era for the Stockport four-piece, ‘Morning Light’ is a no-nonsense hard-hitter fuelled by luring, groove-led melodies, chugging guitars and the band’s signature fuzzy tone.
“Similarly to fake it and the whole EP, Morning Light follows a very similar narrative and thematic arc.” tells frontman Kyle Ross. “It was the first tune we wrote out of this new bank of material, I suppose it's about feeling lost and at the same time losing a part of yourself whilst trying to figure a way out of your own mental labyrinth. I felt like I'd been trapped in a David Lynch scene and that’s what inspired the tune in the first place.”
After a quick start on the scene that saw tours with major UK artists and their first run of European dates, sold out headline shows at Manchester’s Gorilla, Academy 3 and London’s Camden Assembly – Fuzzy Sun, tipped by everyone from NME’s 100 List, CLASH, DORK, Earmilk, Gigwise, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6Music, Radio X and Spotify’s New Music Friday UK and Hot New Bands playlists are tackling 2021 with boundless energy and an unstoppable ethos.
Their new EP, ‘Since The Dog Died’ will arrive in November, combining elements of rock, pop and electronica with Fuzzy Sun’s own soaring melodies and cinematic textures across six brand new tracks. “We wanted to make an impact, pushing a new creative direction for the band, as I think we have really found a sound that excites us and we feel comfortable with.” continues Kyle.
“Overall we wanted the EP to work as a continuous piece of music as the overriding narrative arc of each song are tied together. The EP explores themes of depression, longing, disillusionment, hope, and even the philosophical. Lyrically it’s a snapshot of the inside of Kyle’s mind at a very specific point in time.”
Fuzzy Sun will play a full UK headline tour this December, including a hometown headline show at Manchester’s Academy 2 on Friday 10th December.

Pumpkin fans, unite! – Helloween
Helloween and Incendium are teaming up for the launch of Seekers of the Seven Keys, a supernatural horror-fantasy comic book that explores the iconic cast of characters depicted on album covers from the legendary German heavy metal band, known as the “godfathers of melodic speed metal.”
Incendium is also thrilled to announce a line of collectible Helloween action figures inspired by the bands’ cover artwork and lyrical lore: The Keeper Of The Seven Keys, The Witch, and Jack O. Lantern.
Published under Incendium’s music-focused OPUS imprint, Seekers of the Seven Keys is crafted by horror masters, writer Joe Harris (Creepy, The X-Files, Rockstars) and artist Axel Medellin (Hoax Hunters, Elephantman), and features cover artwork by Santi Casas.
In Seekers of the Seven Keys, the mystical Seven Keys have been lost, and the Keeper wants them back. But he’s not the only one looking. And when teenage siblings stumble upon the quest, they embark on a 1980s-style science-fiction, fantasy adventure filled with the horror tropes, campy characters, and throwback humor for which the band is known.
Helloween guitarist Michael Weikath said, “Obviously, Dr. Stein is not the only one who can come up with funny creatures. We are thrilled to see the characters from the Helloween universe finally come to life! The team of Incendium did a great job and created an exciting new comic adventure. As we say in Dr. Stein: And their time is right!"
Added Llexi Leon, CEO of Incendium: “Helloween’s offbeat comic, inspired by their epic music, fuses fan-favourite characters with whimsical fantasy—and a healthy dose of heavy metal! As they are one of the great innovators in the genre, it’s been a joy to revisit their catalog, particularly the ‘Seven Keys’ saga, and lay down the groundwork for an all-new narrative that will appeal to long-time fans of the band and Halloween horror aficionados alike!”
The debut of the comic book comes in the wake of the recent release of Helloween’s self-titled album, which has climbed to the top of the charts across the world. The album is reminiscent of all eras of the band’s history, and unites their three vocalists Michael Kiske, Andi Deris and Kai Hansen. The band’s sixteenth studio album was released by Nuclear Blast Tonträger Produktions- und Vertriebs GmbH in June.
The first print edition of Seekers of the Seven Keys will be released as a prestige-format limited edition collectible comic book, featuring cardstock covers, specialty foil treatments, glossy pages, and individual numbering.
The first printing of the comic will be limited to 2,000 copies at $19.95, and is available to order from https://incendium.online/collections/Helloween.
It is available to order now and ships by October 31, 2021. The Keeper Of The Seven Keys, The Witch, and Jack O. Lantern action figures are also available to pre-order for $29.95, shipping spring 2022.
Other high-profile projects under Incendium’s OPUS music-focused imprint include the Evanescence graphic anthology series Echoes From The Void, Disturbed’s Dark Messiah comic book series, Joe Satriani’s Crystal Planet series, Black Veil Brides’ The Phantom Tomorrow series, Exodus’ Tales of the Damned series, Cradle of Filth’s Maledictus Athenaeum series, and more; Incendium is releasing collectible action figures for every project related to the bands and their comic book storylines.

Bringing Out His Vulnerabilities – Mitchell Tenpenny
Riser House/Columbia Nashville artist Mitchell Tenpenny released his Midtown Diaries EP on Friday, 10 September! Mitchell produced the eight-song project along with Jordan M. Schmidt and co-wrote all the tracks including his current radio single ‘Truth About You.’
The single became the largest streaming debut of his career garnering 2.5 million streams in its first three days of release which has now swelled to 16.5 million total on-demand streams to date. Mitchell’s total career on-demand streams has reached more than one Billion. Get the EP HERE.
“I spent all of my time during the pandemic writing songs,” said Mitchell. “I always write about my interactions with people or interactions my co-writers are having. But during the long quarantine time and being off the road, I had to channel my past and allow myself to bring out some of my vulnerabilities. I think this EP includes some of the best songs I’ve ever written.”
Mitchell talked to Billboard Magazine about fulfilling a lifelong dream with his upcoming headline show at the Ryman Auditorium and his passion for songwriting being built on inspiration from his late grandmother Donna Hilley, a former CEO of Sony/ ATV Nashville. “I love writing music more than anything in this world,” Mitchell told the magazine. He recalled, “I was at my grandmother’s office one time as a kid, and I didn’t know what she did—I just knew she was in the music industry. They (songwriters Curly Putman and Bobby Braddock) were up there having a meeting with her, and she told me, ‘Mitchell, these are the guys that wrote “He Stopped Loving Her Today.”’ It’s like everything just started firing creatively at that point. And growing up, I got to meet a lot of my writing heroes.”
The Midtown Diaries album title is named after an area in downtown Nashville just off Music Row, referred to as Midtown. It’s a place Mitchell spent many nights before his record deal playing some of the bars and clubs or in more recent years hanging out with friends after songwriting sessions on the Row. It’s through those times where he experienced the stories that became memories and framed the topics for many of these songs.
One of those hangout places was Bobby’s Idle Hour where he filmed a portion of the music video for current single ‘Truth About You.’ Mitchell debuted the song for television audiences with a performance on KTLA’s “Music Fest Fridays.”
Reaching Out – Alyssa Bonagura
Alyssa Bonagura, a US-based singer-songwriter, will be performing in London on Friday, 17 September at the Omeara, alongside Twinnie.
A celebrated songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, Alyssa Bonagura has spent the past decade fine-tuning a sound that reaches far beyond her Nashville roots. It’s a sound that blurs the boundaries between genres, mixing the southern storytelling of country music, the free-thinking spirit of rock & roll, and the cinematic sweep of Brit-pop into its own hybrid.

For Alyssa — a lifelong road warrior who spent her infancy aboard a tour bus, recorded a duet with Kenny Rogers at 10 years old, received her college diploma from Sir Paul McCartney, performed stadium shows as a member of the major-label duo The Sisterhood Band, and currently balances her critically-acclaimed solo career with an ongoing gig writing songs for Jessie James Decker, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, and others — it’s also a sound that’s every bit as diverse as her own story.
Nowhere is that clearer than on 2021’s “New Wings.” Recorded during the pandemic, it’s a song about struggle, survival, and the soaring feeling of flight, delivered by a multidimensional musician who’s never shied away from unexplored territory.
