JIM LEE – James Seymour Lee (1945-2023) RIP
Jim Lee, a titan of fashion photography and film direction has passed away.
His profound influence on the world of photography and film has left an indelible mark on the industry and those who had the privilege to know and work with him. For many, including us, his work wasn’t just admired; it was deeply loved.
Born in London on 20 November 1945, Lee began his illustrious career as a fashion photographer during the transformative sixties and seventies. His keen eye for detail and innovative vision soon caught the attention of the global fashion community, leading to close collaborations with Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, both in London and New York. Their synergy shaped many iconic fashion and advertising shoots that are remembered and celebrated to this day.
In the late seventies, with an insatiable hunger for artistic growth, Lee transitioned to film directing. With the same passion and intensity, he directed numerous television commercials and feature films, captivating audiences and peers alike with his unique style.
Jim Lee’s photographs, celebrated for their innovation and timeless elegance, have earned places in renowned institutions like the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and The Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow. Over the decades, Lee published a series of books that chronicled his life and artistic journey, including the noteworthy “Jim Lee / Arrested” and the introspective “LIFE IN B&W.”
Always keen to foster imagination and creativity, Lee’s commitment to the arts was reflected in his endeavors to inspire younger generations. This was evident in his 2019 publication, “My BOX,” a version of his previous work “The BOX,” tailored for children.
Outside of his professional accomplishments, Jim was known for his kindness, wit, and unwavering commitment to artistic integrity. His loss is deeply felt by the global artistic community, everyone whose life he touched, and all who cherished his artistry.
His legacy will continue to inspire budding photographers and filmmakers for generations to come. He will be remembered not only for his unparalleled contributions to the world of arts but also for the passion, drive, and humanity he brought to every endeavor.

WITHERED HAND – A Sober Offering
WITHERED HAND shares ‘Making ‘How To Love’ video and UK tour dates in support of first album in nine years.
Making the nine years it took UK folk-rock troubadour Withered Hand to release his long-awaited ‘How To Love’ LP (his first new music in nearly a decade, out now via Reveal Records), he has shared his behind-the-scenes ‘Making ‘How To Love’ video and announced a series of UK shows.
The nom de plume of Edinburgh-based singer-songwriter Dan Willson (originally from London), Withered Hand continues to live up to his reputation as one of Scotland’s most gifted songwriters. He has garnered worldwide support and heavy airplay on tastemaker stations including BBC 6 Music and Amazing Radio.
Produced, recorded and mixed by renowned producer Tony Doogan (Mogwai, David Byrne, Teenage Fanclub, The Twilight Sad, Belle & Sebastian, The Delgados) at Castle of Doom Studios in Glasgow, the new album features guest appearances by King Creosote and Mercury-nominated English songwriter Kathryn Williams.
Earlier, Withered Hand released the singles ‘Feelings’, ‘Crippled Love’, with an exclusive live acoustic version, and the lead track ‘Waking Up’, along with a radio edit involvving producer Mark Freegard (The Breeders, Del Amitri, New Model Army, Lush, Pale Saints),
“My own mental health struggles in the past meant life got really dark before I was willing to surrender three years ago and become willing to learn to live sober,” says Dan Willson. “The songs on ‘How To Love’ are imbued with my attempts to keep stumbling away from living like that”.
Willson began writing songs and singing in his thirties following the birth of his first child and the death of a close friend. With a wayward tenor and unaffected charm onstage, he has come to be celebrated as a songwriter and lyricist of rare wit and remarkable honesty. With songs picked up by MTV and cult series ‘Skins’, he’s gained a legion of fans including Jarvis Cocker and Rolling Stone USA, who deemed him an Artist to Watch.
Withered Hand’s acclaimed ‘New Gods’ LP (2014) was released via Slumberland Records, featuring luminaries from Belle & Sebastian, Frightened Rabbit, The Vaselines, and Pam Berry of seminal noisepop band Black Tambourine, propelling the album straight into the charts.

Jill Andrews – Looking Back, Pushing Forward
Ahead of her anticipated new album Modern Age arriving August 18th, Nashville singer-songwriter Jill Andrews just released her new single ‘80’s Baby‘.
With the slow burning nostalgic leadoff track, Andrews remarks with wistfulness on just how different the world has come to be since the days of making mixtapes and cruising the cul-de-sacs.
Of the new single, Andrews stated, “I grew up in a small town in East Tennessee. We lived in middle class suburbia with green lawns, fenced dogs, and nice neighbors for the most part. If my homework was done, I had freedom to run around the neighborhood and explore with my friends. Friday night was a trip to Blockbuster and The Dairy Queen for a couple chocolate dipped cones for my brother and I. My family would all gather on the couch with a bowl of popcorn to watch the latest Indiana Jones movie. As a child, I loved the feeling of togetherness with my friends and family. My life was centered around other people. In writing this song, I was comparing my experience of childhood to my own children’s. There has been more isolation in their experiences brought on by the pandemic and by the proliferation of personal devices. Now kids can be entertained at every moment. The outdoors isn’t as exciting as watching television or playing video games. There isn’t as much time to dream and create. It makes me miss the simplicity of my childhood and wish that I could go back in time a few decades and take my kids with me.”

Standing at the intersection of memory lane and tomorrow, Modern Age is an ode to simpler times, an album that goes beyond nostalgia to veneration of what were to so many, the golden years. It’s a stunning reflection on how far we’ve all come, but one that leaves the listener wondering about the price of “progress.” Produced by Lucas Morton at 4115 Studios, it features ten tracks that range from anthemic, pop dreams with ethereal synths and rich vocals, to intimate acoustic confessions. It’s a meditation on childhood and changing times, growing up and looking back. In moments, the epitome of 90s pop perfection with airy synths and shimmering vocals and in others, pared down and heart-wrenchingly intimate, Modern Age is dripping in reverence for a simpler time, when the world was as big as your high school, when love was waiting by the phone, when we wondered about the future instead of lived in it. With addictive melodies that evoke Susannah Hoffs and Kate Bush, Modern Age is at once a time capsule of and a love letter to the places we all began.
With thoughtful and brilliant performances by an all-star cast of musicians including Tyler Chester (Sara Bareilles, Jackson Brown, Madison Cunningham), Juan Solorzano (Becca Mancari, Mary Gauthier, Michaela Anne), Graham Bechler (Erin Rae, Allen Stone), Anthony Da Costa (Sunny War, Molly Tuttle, Yola), and special guests Ben Cramer (Old Sea Brigade) and Becca Mancari on backing vocals, Modern Age remembers an era where the rhythm of life played slower, when we rewound cassette tapes with our fingertips, and talked on the phone for hours.
“This album for me is about looking back. It’s about all the gains and losses. It’s a juxtaposition of childhood and adulthood. It’s the simplicities and complexities that surround both. And figuring out where I belong within it all.”

Joshua Ray Walker – Takes On Sinéad O’Connor, Cher, Regina Spektor And More
Joshua Ray Walker releases What Is It Even?, his fourth album and first album of covers, via Soundly Music.
Walker has been called “country’s most fascinating young songwriter” by Rolling Stone and “one of country’s most exciting storytellers” by Spin.
After releasing his first three albums, a trilogy of sorts that No Depression calls “the country music equivalent of the great American novel,” Walker decided it was time to just have some fun. The result is What Is It Even?. “The latest display of his extraordinary versatility and dynamic talent” (KXT), Walker’s interpretations are equal parts familiar and jarring. Yet there is a through line that ties What Is It Even? together – songs created by powerful female artist with an uncompromising vision for their art.
“I realized how influential female pop records and artists have been on me as a person,” explains Walker. “Even more than in a creative sense.”
The catalyst of What Is It Even? was sparked on the patio of the Tulsa, Oklahoma music venue and dive bar Mercury Lounge, a fitting origin story for any country record. But this is far from an ordinary country record. It was on that Tulsa patio, deep into tour, when Walker and drummer Trey Pendergrass were half joking about what their gospel jump blues version of Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” would sound like, wondering “what if the Blues Brothers covered a Whitney Houston song?”
The country music canon is littered with standout covers and cover albums, but a vast majority of those come from within country music’s rich history. Walker offers a fresh twist by pulling mostly from outside of country music and by being unafraid to be a man singing songs originally crafted by and for women.
Walker will begin his month-long, first-ever headline tour of Europe and the UK on August 11th. He’ll open for The Killers on September 18th and 19th in Reno, NV, then head out with The Mavericks for a run of Texas dates before opening Marcus King’s Autumn tour.

Hannah Ellis – Red Wine, Frolics and Trucks
Rising Country Artist Hannah Ellis Pours Out Summer Fun With “Wine Country”.
Rising Country Artist Hannah Ellis is pouring out fun with her new Curb Records single “Wine Country”, available now — listen HERE.
Joyfully bringing boujee to the backroads, Ellis is making an impact with the song as it was most added at Radio and is quickly becoming the Country song of the summer. Fans have been showing their appreciation at her live shows – as evidenced by a flash mob in the audience at her recent CMA Festival performance dancing along as she sang on the Chevy Vibes Stage. (Watch here.)
he up-and-coming singer/songwriter first debuted the judgment-free anthem this spring at Live In The Vineyard Goes Country. Bringing a little Napa to Ellis’ home state of Kentucky, the pop-country twang of “Wine Country” raises a glass to the 2023 “CMT LISTEN UP” artist, proving the old adage true: You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl. Admittedly a little Rosé and a lot playful energy, Ellis sips her Cabernet from a Solo Cup, while wearing her black Luccheses on the cleverly penned track she wrote with Clint Lagerberg and her husband, Nick Wayne. Lagerberg produced the recording alongside Jason Massey.
Hannah says the song is “based on the idea that life is not all about this OR that. It’s more about this AND that. I’m boujee AND I’m backroads. You don’t have to choose one lane. Drive ‘em all!”
The video for “Wine Country” was filmed by Tony Gates at various locations in Napa Valley, CA. including theWelcome To Napa Valley Sign, the Napa Valley Wine Train and the rustic Chappellet Winery in Helena, California – to emphasize country in the phrase wine country. “We really had fun with the concept for this video,” Ellis said. “We leaned into the ‘Real Housewives’ type of energy while keeping it country. I really loved the videos from the 90’s that had a different story and a light-hearted theme. It brings out the personality in this song.”
In the video, Hannah sings about Ford trucks as she frolics in winery fields – wearing the owner’s socks. “One of my favorite memories from the video shoot was when we were shooting the brunch scene up on Pritchard Hill at Chappellet Winery,” she said. “I was wearing these tall sharp stiletto heels, and I couldn’t walk down the gravel path to the table. Then I tried barefooted, and the rocks were too sharp. So Blakesley Chappellet, one of the vineyard owners, gave me the socks off her feet so I could walk across the gravel. Such a sweet moment.”
Ellis is announcing new tour dates, beginning in mid-July to support “Wine Country”. Plans are for her to tour for the rest of this year into 2024.

Heathen Apostles ~ Sarah Vista ~ Kelley Swindall (Live Review) – Roots Of The Dark West
It’s not often we get an ex-Cramp, a sexy Vamp, and two hot but deadly guitar slingers on one stage, but on this occasion…
As if plucked from a surreal spaghetti western, Mather Louth and Chopper Franklin made quite the spectacle, striding down London’s Pentonville Road in full regalia.
That enigmatic sight not only awakened that mysterious voice in one’s head, that in moments of aging self-doubt makes us slip back into our leather trousers and cut-off cowboy shirts, but also sparked a throwback to Lux Interior’s pre-show red wine chase at Sainsbury’s before a barnstormer at the Town and Country in Kentish Town, many, many moons ago.
Distracted by that sight, our arrival was marked by the popping of discarded kerb-side Jack Daniels bottles under our wheels, a spectral prank by Lux, perhaps? Fingers crossed we hadn’t earned a prairie flat.
Following a quick thirst quencher at the bar, the night’s theme would soon unfurl, a bewitching fusion of petticoats and pistols, conjuring a mesmerizing dance of Gothic Americana. Taking the stage as the captivating curtain-raiser is none other than Kelley Swindall, last glimpsed through our lenses at The Green Note in Camden, taking point for that wandering minstrel, Jack Valero.
The Lexington, a tad more expansive than the Green Note, retained an intimate ambiance reminiscent of a frontier saloon, combining the heady aroma of not-so-fresh outhouses, stale ale, and a ghostly wisp of smoke.
Were the superior acoustics at play here, or did the slightly expanded prairie offer her a larger canvas? Kelley’s set was as crisp and clear as the early morning Utah air, a stirring blend of familiar anthems and fresh ballads. She shared a particularly raw and emotional tale of seeking solace in a medium after her father’s untimely passing, rounding it off with the mirthful mortality reminder ‘We’re all gonna die’. Kelley, true to form, was our darling cowgirl on this musical trail ride.
As though drawn in by an age-old Western saga, the souls of cowboys and cowgirls found themselves helplessly drawn to this enigmatic rendezvous."
Beneath the dim, spectral glow of the saloon’s lights, the enigmatic silhouette of Sarah Vista materialized, casting a mesmerizing aura across The Lexington. This spellbinding enchantress, a celebrated figurehead of London’s Western scene, had summoned a motley band of skilled musicians – hardened veterans from the badlands and bordertowns, prepared to guide the audience on a haunting journey through tales of love and bullets that would resonate across the auditory plane.
Perched next to her worn leather boots sat a frost-kissed Pabst Blue Ribbon and a devil-may-care shot of whiskey. From there, she commanded the stage, her alluring gaze casting a hypnotic spell over the room. Yet, beneath the crimson lipstick and captivating charm, dwelled the soul of a battle-hardened gunslinger, a veteran of countless showdowns with rogue rustlers and unruly cowpokes. Cross her, and you’d find yourself locked in a perilous gaze with the barrel of her talking iron.
With a devilish sparkle in her eye, Sarah kicked the spurs in deep and hard, accelerating the pace with a wicked rendition of I Wish You Hell".
As though drawn in by an age-old Western saga, the souls of cowboys and cowgirls found themselves helplessly drawn to this enigmatic rendezvous. The expected rockabilly crowd may have been thinner than usual, but the anticipation hung heavy in the air, dense as tumbleweeds on a windless day.
Sarah’s performance ignited with the raw intensity of Another Man’s Hands, a wild ride akin to a stagecoach hurtling headlong through the labyrinthine plot of a Sergio Leone epic. The music reverberated with the echo of smoking guns and whispers of death, ensnaring the listeners in a spellbinding sonic tableau.
Amidst flickering lights, the chilling saga of Belle Star took form, merging into the haunting lullaby, Now You Are Sleeping. Killing Fever cast an enchanting spell, drawing the audience deeper into the shadows with its haunting murder ballad.
The auditory séance unfurled with Get Three Coffins Ready, an ominous ode to impending retribution, and Hour Of The Gun, a melancholic tapestry of sonic despair. Collective harmonies echoed across desolate plains, saturating the crowd in an atmospheric ambiance.
Lonely Are The Brave reverberated through the saloon, a nod to a beloved Kirk Douglas classic, with Sarah’s haunting voice serving as the narrative compass. Then, rising from the spectral haze of dry ice, Dead On Arrival struck a resounding chord with its seductive backbeat.
With a devilish sparkle in her eye, Sarah kicked the spurs in deep and hard, accelerating the pace with a wicked rendition of I Wish You Hell.
In an epic finale, the haunting resonance of Dig Yourself A Hole reverberated through the room, eliciting roars of approval from the spectral figures of the night. Their applause echoed like a volley of jubilant gunfire.
Sarah Vista left her audience spellbound in the wake of this eerily unforgettable soirée, their hearts indelibly marked by the smoky, dusty echoes of a world that waltzed precariously on the edge of reality and myth. The last reverberations of her haunting melodies faded into the night, leaving the crowd with the understanding that they had journeyed into a realm of the quick and the dead, and where only the brave dare tread.
With the first haunting notes of Paint the Stars, we were swept away on a spiritual journey deep into the heart of Gothic Americana"
The crowd erupted in jubilant cheers as the Heathen Apostles, giants of Gothic Americana, took the stage. Under the sonic leadership of the completely mesmerizing Mather Louth, with her stirring vocals and rhythmic guitar, they came alive. They dominated the stage as if they were vampire outlaws in a confrontation that could only end one way. Their performance, laced with elements of the surreal and the mysterious, unraveled like a vividly illustrated Nathaniel Hawthorne poem, with each musician playing a key part. Chopper Franklin’s fiendishly intricate guitar work, Thomas Lorioux‘s firm upright bass, and Luis Mascaro’s evocative violin added a rich depth to their sound.
With the first haunting notes of Paint the Stars, we were swept away on a spiritual journey deep into the heart of Gothic Americana. The set was a gripping ride through spectral ballads and propulsive rock anthems that navigated through shadowy and mystifying terrains. Mather Louth’s resonant vocals, laced with an eerie undercurrent, twined with Mascaro’s assertive fiddle, piercing the creeping fog of dry ice, and stirring images of phantom prairies and forsaken souls. Her voice flowed seamlessly with Chopper Franklin’s guitar, which spun complex webs of sound, vibrating with the soul of Gothic storytelling.
Chopper's feverish guitar work in Gravedigger's Sons and Long Gone Lonesome Blues created a seamless blend of Americana with Gothic allure"
Thomas Lorioux’s deep and resonant upright bass laid a sturdy groundwork for the ghostly tales. At the same time, Luis Mascaro’s hypnotic violin added a celestial touch, lifting the music to a new level of emotional depth. Together, they wove a spellbinding tapestry of sound, drawing the audience into their world with bewitching renditions of songs like Death’s Head and Fool’s Gold. Each note left a lingering spell in the air.
Mascaro's violin wove emotional threads into the music, each note piercing the soul"
As the evening unfolded, the sorrowful strains of Black Hawk and the chilling melodies of Drowned in Trouble kept us on an emotional ghost train. They allowed the indomitable spirit of Heathen Apostles to cast a bewitching spell over the audience. Each song painted lucid pictures of dark tales and enigmatic journeys, climaxing during the performance of Shadow of the Crows. Here, Mascaro’s violin added an otherworldly element that sent shivers down the spine.
The crowd was held captive by Mather’s powerful voice during songs like Lily of the West and Into the Wild. Simultaneously, Chopper’s feverish guitar work in Gravedigger’s Sons and Long Gone Lonesome Blues created a seamless blend of Americana with Gothic allure. The musicians’ harmonious interplay, bolstered by Lorioux’s rhythmic prowess and Mascaro’s poignant violin, further captivated the audience during Two for the Road and Without a Trace.
The atmosphere was dense as Get Outta Dodge and The Reckoning reverberated through the venue, making its very foundations tremble. The spectral melodies, captivating visuals, and the dark allure crafted by Heathen Apostles surrounded the audience in a world between reality and the supernatural, evoking a sense of adventure and mystery.
Then, like a mournful lament, Dark Was the Night echoed through the air. Mascaro’s violin wove emotional threads into the music, each note piercing the soul. It left a celestial afterglow that lingered even after the final chords of Murderer of Souls, as if the spirits of the night themselves had taken the stage.
As the twilight fell over Islington, the echoes of the soul-stirring fusion of Gothic Americana and Country and Western continued to reverberate through The Lexington. This was courtesy of Heathen Apostles, Sarah Vista, Kelley Swindall, and their extraordinary ensemble of musicians. The night, a harmonious blend of riveting performances and the magnetic allure of their unique genres, felt like a frontier tale told around a crackling campfire. Even as the embers died down, we were left yearning for more. The Heathen Apostles had etched themselves into our dark hearts, ensuring their spectral melodies and mystical storytelling would stay with us long after the last note had faded into the night.

FANNY LUMSDEN – ALBUM RELEASE
You can never get enough Fanny. Fanny Lumsden’s Highly Anticipated Fourth Album ‘Hey Dawn’ IS OUT NOW
Following her successful sold out set at the Glastonbury Festival and epic gig at The Green Note (see review below) in the UK, award-winning artist Fanny Lumsden has dropped her much anticipated new record, Hey Dawn
Featuring the top 10 Airplay hit ‘Millionaire’ and her current single ‘When I Die’ this is Fanny’s fourth studio album and the follow up to 2020’s watershed Top 10, 5x Golden Guitar and ARIA Award-winning album Fallow. Fanny has also unveiled two additional snapshots of the album in the lead up to release, sharing the video for the haunting album title track ‘Hey Dawn’ (view here) and ‘Ugly Flowers’ featuring home videos and slides generously supplied by the Hardie/Lumsden family. (view here).
Her latest clip ‘Stories’ is also out today (view here). On this track, Fanny explains, “This song is a little love letter to the stories I’ve been told over my life that make me who I am.
We are made up of the stories that are told to us but are defined by how we tell them to ourselves. What are we other than this? What are we other than the stories we tell ourselves?”
The record is a rich character study, with the singer-songwriter reflecting on the stories that have shaped her and those around her. It’s also a more sonically diverse outing than Lumsden’s previous records, incorporating elements such as guitar-based indie-pop into her trademark world of gorgeously crafted, emotionally rich acoustic songwriting.
“I wanted it to feel good, I wanted to have fun,” she smiles. “I didn’t want to think too hard about it – I just wanted to feel.”
Hey Dawn is, in short, Lumsden’s most complete offering to date. But it took a while to get there.
Following the release of Fallow, Lumsden spent an exhausting 18 months navigating the logistical nightmare of touring in a time of COVID-related border closures and show cancellations. When combined with the residual trauma of the 2020 bushfires that nearly claimed her property in the Snowy Valleys region of New South Wales – “I literally drove out to Tamworth while the side of the road was still burning” – the desire to write music temporarily deserted her.
When it finally returned it did so on the coast of Western Australia, as Lumsden and her husband (and bandmate) Dan Freeman navigated their way home from the Northern Territory after border closures prevented them from entering Queensland for the final show of the Fallow tour. The circuitous route proved to be a blessing.
“I decompressed,” she offers. “It wasn’t until then, on the West Australian coast with no phone service, that I started writing.”
Having focused inward lyrically on Fallow, Lumsden was once again interested in telling detail-rich stories – both her own, and other people’s. In particular, she found herself drawn to her childhood, “when obviously I felt no weight of anything”.
“I think that might have been a reaction to the last few years, which were heavy for everyone,” she offers.
Lumsden and her band travelled to Tasmania to work with longtime producer Matt Fell at his studio in the picturesque Gowrie Park, many of the songs were still only ideas and shapes – an unfamiliar scenario for a singer-songwriter more used to being meticulously prepared.
The initial sessions were disrupted by a catastrophic storm that forced them to relocate to the eastern side of the island. It was there, in an Airbnb, that Lumsden awoke one morning just as the sun was rising.
“I literally just said, ‘Oh, hey dawn!’,” chuckles the singer. The seemingly innocuous moment became something more when the sessions returned to Gowrie Park and Lumsden visited a local market in a nearby hall, in which a man was playing piano.
“The only pre-idea I had for the record was I knew I wanted the sound of a piano that felt like you were in a hall when you were a kid, and I walked into this hall and this old man was playing this vision of what I had in my head,” she recalls.
That night she went back to her accommodation and wrote “Hey Dawn”, the stunning title-track that pairs celestial vocal harmonies with gentle piano before climaxing with Bacharach-esque flair. Finally, the album made sense.
“I was a bit stuck after Fallow and didn’t know where to go, and that unlocked it: ‘Oh, you just need to wake up, it’s a new day, it’s a new moment, every day is a new moment, and you just need to be where you are right now. Forget about Fallow, forget about all the other things, just be now.’”
Alongside her regular bandmates – husband Dan on bass, brother Tom on backing vocals, Josh Schubert on drums, and multi-instrumentalists Benjamin Corbett and Paddy Montgomery – she also welcomed the input of outside musicians such as EVEN’s Ash Naylor.
It’s a fitting sentiment for an album that is about the here and now, how it’s shaped by the stories from our past, and how they can always be re-written in our future.
“You have to tell the stories of the moment you’re in, and you have to put them out and trust that that is okay,” smiles Lumsden. “It’s a new day, we’re here”.
Fanny kicked off her ‘Hey Dawn’ album tour accompanied by her sensational band, The Prawn Stars, in Bendigo at the end of July and she has a string of shows scheduled along the East Coast and into Tasmania, wrapping the tour in Franklin on September 17. INTERVIEW COMING SOON…
Wilmette – Building The Excitement
Guitarist Griffin Guge says “For us, this album has been a mixture of what we’ve done before and what we’ve individually wanted to try at some point in our lives. It strongly diverges from where we’ve gone, but still maintains the juxtaposition of genres that we’ve always tried to maintain. Celebrating the release of this album at the Subterranean on August 31st is a huge honor for us considering that we haven’t been able to play many shows in recent years. We hope the excitement is going strong, because we plan on giving it our all.”
Hailing from the Chicago suburbs, Wilmette combines pop-punk and hardcore with a fresh style that relies on pop hooks, honest lyrics, and strong musicianship. The band’s emphatic debut EP “Anxious Body” was released in 2019 to much acclaim.
