Gothony – Looking Back / Looking Forward
Finnish metal band Gothony released Demo 1995 on streaming services via Inverse Records.
30 years ago Gothony’s first demo saw the light of day. The demo was recorded and mixed by Hiili Hiilesmaa at MD Studios in Munkkiniemi, Helsinki in early 1995. An edition of 200 cassettes was made. Sales started in the summer of 1995. Now the time has come to re-release this three track demo on streaming services.
Gothony was founded in 1993 with the line-up :
M.Toivonen: drums & vocals
Mika Uusitalo: guitar & vocals
Miika Peräkangas: guitar
Väiski Syväoja: bass
This line-up released two demos in the 90s in 1995 (Gothony) and 1997 (Hidden thoughts). Gigs mostly in the capital region, e.g. Oranssi klubi, Semifinal and at the legendary Thunder Road House. In 1998, M.Toivonen , who handled the vocals, gave the vocal responsibilities to Sami Viitamäki.
Sami Viitamäki’s time was Gothony’s golden age, and many compare this to the Beatles ’65 & ’66, when Rubber Soul and Revolver innovated not only the band’s sound but the entire pop music genre as well. The golden age was short, but rewarding and Gothony played a few gigs with Sami before the break up that happened in 1999. There was no drama in the breakup, but everyone went on different paths in life.
In 2019, it was decided to reassemble Gothony to revive the past and play old songs. Wuohi, who in the 90s did vocals in Bleed me tears and Katharsis joined Gothony.
In 2020, Gothony went to Tuska-Torstai and Emergenza to get a feel for live show’s. After the gigs, a decision was made to start working on new songs and continue Gothony’s story.
The first official Gothony single Patient 2442 was completed in April 2023 and released with a music video by Kimmo Jaatinen (direction, cinematography, screenplay, editing). The second single In the Shadow of the Moon was released in July 2023.
Gothony’s first official full-length album released on January 12, 2024.
Now in 2025, Gothony is working on new songs and the new material is scheduled for late 2025 release. Before releasing new material, it’s time to bring Gothony’s first demo to streaming services. This will take place in March 2025.

Save Ferris – Feel The Force
Save Ferris are headed back out on the road with the announcement of their spring tour dates.
This summer the band will be heading overseas for a UK/ European tour and festival dates. KEEP AN EAR OUT FOR “GET DANCING”, THEIR new single AND VIDEO TO BE RELEASED soon!
Save Ferris is a ska-punk powerhouse that blends infectious energy with heart-pounding rhythms, creating a sound that’s both nostalgic and timeless. Hailing from Southern California, the band first burst onto the scene in the mid-’90s, blending ska’s signature brass and up-tempo beats with punk rock’s raw edge and rebellious spirit. Fronted by the dynamic and captivating Monique Powell, Save Ferris quickly became known for their energetic live shows and catchy, anthem-like tracks.
Their debut album, It Means Everything (1996), earned them a loyal following with tracks like “Come On Eileen,” a bold cover of Dexys Midnight Runners’ classic, which became a breakout hit. Their sound—characterized by tight horn sections, infectious guitar riffs, and Powell’s powerful vocals—immediately set them apart from other ska bands of the era.
Over the years, Save Ferris has navigated changes in both the music scene and within the band itself, but their core sound—fueled by a blend of punk, ska, and pop—is as vibrant and energetic as ever. Their passion for music and connection to fans remains a constant, and with each performance, they prove why they’re one of the most memorable bands to emerge from the ’90s ska revival.
Save Ferris’ influence extends far beyond their hit songs, as they helped solidify ska-punk as a mainstream force, paving the way for countless other bands. With a sound that’s both a tribute to the past and a forward-looking reflection of their evolution, Save Ferris continues to captivate listeners, leaving a lasting mark on the music world.

David Gray – Unlike Any Other
David Gray has embarked on his fifty-two date Past & Present world tour in support of his critically acclaimed new album, ‘Dear Life’, released earlier this month via his independent label, Laugh A Minute Records/Secretly Distribution.
The tour is currently underway in the U.S. and will continue with UK dates throughout March, April, and May. The majority of shows are already sold out, including London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall, the first of two shows at the London Palladium, Glasgow’s SEC Armadillo, Manchester’s 02 Apollo and Dublin’s 3Arena. All UK and European dates will feature special guest Talia Rae, Gray’s collaborator on the lead single, “Plus & Minus.”
The response to ‘Dear Life’ has been extraordinary. Critics have hailed the album as “a brooding triumph” (Telegraph), “his most confessional and emotive work to date” (Clash Magazine), and “a slow-burner that catches fire” (Mojo). The album has also drawn comparisons to Gray’s multi-platinum-selling, ‘White Ladder’ – “the sonic DNA of White Ladder is present here,” (Rolling Stone) and “his poppiest and most successful album since White Ladder” (Music OMH). Gray’s artistry as a songwriter has also been singled out – “this 13th album confirms Gray’s not lost his touch” (Guardian) and “a soulful collection of richly poetic songs about love, change and mortality” (Independent).
David Gray’s story is unlike any other. He spent almost a decade striving to make a breakthrough, and when it happened it did so in the biggest way imaginable as ‘White Ladder’ became one of the best-selling British albums of recent decades and established him as an arena-filling artist. As the years have passed, his songcraft has only been deepened by his natural ability to convey specific emotions, atmospheres, or, as heard on his acclaimed 2021 album ‘Skellig’, a perception of place – all positioning him in the lineage of classic poetic singer-songwriters rather than lovestruck acoustic troubadours. While the likes of Ed Sheeran, Adele and Hozier have acknowledged his influence, David has continued to follow his own artistic path.
‘Dear Life’ is Gray’s thirteenth album. It’s the result of “a starburst of songwriting … it just seemed like the gods of songwriting were being kind. The doubting voices didn’t turn up.” An album of emotional crisis and resolution, mortality and faith, reality and illusion, love and heartbreak, magic, science, loss and acceptance. While it is full of yearning and hope, there is an undercurrent of darkness, a tension between competing forces of hope and despair: a cavalcade of emotions in what is his most lyrically-focused collection to-date.
The Radio 2 playlisted “Plus & Minus” catches the songwriter at his most immediately infectious. The song’s piano refrain frames a duet about a fractured relationship, in which Gray’s inimitable voice trades words of disillusionment and despair with newcomer Talia Rae, whose smoky vocal simultaneously evokes equal measures of wit and sadness.
The new album’s foundations were set in 2019, but progress was halted by Covid as well as the subsequent need to twice reschedule his huge ‘White Ladder’ anniversary tour. Revisiting those songs was a reminder of the classic songcraft and electronic undercurrent that made them so memorable, yet David was also compelled to ambitiously broaden his palette, working with producer Ben de Vries to create dazzlingly rich orchestral strings, horns and woodwind arrangements to correspond with the scale of the themes. A change of location was also a factor, with much of the album recorded in a makeshift studio in Norfolk.
David adds, “A lot has happened to me. There’s been change on so many levels, all the ups and downs and dramas and tragedies and joys that the slow movement through life brings. This record has been a reckoning with stuff that’s been building up like static for years. But I say this with joy and a smile on my face. I know what I’ve done is as good as anything I could possibly do.”
The physical release of ‘Dear Life’ includes two additional tracks, “The Messenger” and “More Than Anything,” available exclusively on Vinyl/CD format.
Talia Rae will be the special guest support across all UK and EU dates, with Sierra Spirit joining as the special guest for all U.S. dates.

The Little Black Gallery – Cowboys and Queens by Jane Hilton
The Little Black Gallery is delighted to announce the publication of its new book Cowboys and Queens by Jane Hilton.
This coincides with our US tour of Hilton’s exhibition of the same name. Launching 27 March at FreyBoy Art Salon in Las Vegas and then Los Angeles, next to Tulsa in Oklahoma in September at The Hulett Collection, and then Palo Gallery in New York in the spring of 2026.
Cowboys and Queens reflects the new modern-day American Dream. A utopian cocktail that celebrates the freedom and stance of the iconic working cowboy, with the flamboyance and inventiveness of the drag queen.
The inspiration is indisputable: from Sergio Leone and Tarantino, to Dorsey Swan and Ru Paul. Stunning blue skies and western landscapes by day, and the frisson of nightclubs and bars by night.
Both represent liberty and endless possibilities. A new frontier has emerged … a new Americana.

Inspired by John Huston’s classic film The Misfits, Hilton worked closely with a vibrant community of drag artists who painstakingly created their own Western-inspired attire, from wigs and makeup to handcrafted accessories. In a bold departure from their usual nightlife habitats, the performers stepped into the vast natural light of the American West, without artificial lighting or any digital manipulation, creating an arresting juxtaposition of glamour, grit, and the romanticism of cowboy culture.

32″ x 27″ giclee print, edition of 10, $2,350
or 43″ x 35″ C type print, edition of 3, $3,675

Alongside these portraits are images of authentic cowboys, shot on film with a 4×5 plate camera. From the buckaroos of Nevada to the cowpunchers of Texas, Hilton has photographed cowboys in their own homes, surrounded by western artefacts, revealing their obsession with the lifestyle. Not only is their need to hold onto their heritage clearly visible, but their softer, possibly more feminine side is also exposed. Hilton’s own affection for the American West is clearly palpable.

Three sizes starting from 20″ x 24″, edition of 20, $1,100

Jane Hilton’s work has long explored American culture with a poetic sensitivity, capturing worlds that exist on the fringes of societal norms. Cowboys and Queens is no exception—challenging perceptions, blending genres, and celebrating the spirit of reinvention. These unforgettable portraits invite us to reflect on identity, transformation, and the ever-evolving American dream.

PIG – Sifting through The Wreckage
Industrial glam kingpin Raymond Watts aka PIG has reissue a remastered and expanded version of his 1996 album ‘Wrecked’ via Metropolis Records .
His fifth full-length record, the remastering has been made by Tom Hall at Abbey Road, while its reappearance appears during UK live dates to promote the 2024 studio album ‘Red Room’. The PIG live band currently includes En Esch (ex-KMFDM, Pigface) and Jim Davies, formerly of Pitchshifter but best known for his acidic and acerbic guitar lines on several chart hits by The Prodigy. Davies co-wrote many of the songs on ‘Red Room’.
Whereas the recently reissued ‘Sinsation’ (1995) had originally been released on Nothing Records (the label established by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails), its follow-up saw a switch to Wax Trax!, the leading ‘90s exponents of industrial rock.
“Revisiting ‘Wrecked’ for remastering was a sobering experience that left me shaken,” states Watts. “I recalled a period when I was stirred to a creative frenzy of crisis and desperation while searching for beauty. Although I can still hear glimpses of it, the bonfire of my hope was more an expression that was savage and twisted.”
Following the desperate burning that had resulted in ‘Sinsation’, Watts considers it more “a yearning, grinding plea for liberation that manifested in ‘Wrecked’, a tomb I had built for myself and my troubles that only the very bravest would dare enter.”
The original press release for ‘Wrecked’ had described the album as “a nihilistic slash and burn, a scrapbook of manifestos and suicide notes written in dried blood.” In the cold light of day almost three decades later that description still holds true.
‘Wrecked’ features contributions from former KMFDM members Günter Schulz and Steve White, as well as Julian Beeston (ex-Nitzer Ebb, Cubanate).

Watts has enjoyed a stellar career since starting out as a pioneering member of the mid-1980s industrial rock scene. As well as releasing fourteen albums as PIG, he has toured with KMFDM (he was a member of the band in their early days), Nine Inch Nails and Einstürzende Neubauten, written music for fashion and film for Chloe, Marios Schwab, Halston, The Row, as well as creating the sound design for the exhibition ‘Punk: Chaos to Couture’ at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Watts also collaborated with the late fashion icon Alexander McQueen, who commissioned him (with John Gosling) to embellish the serene instrumental track ‘Inside’ (from the 1999 PIG album ‘Genuine American Monster’ album) for the soundtrack to ‘Plato’s Atlantis’. The show was reprised after McQueen’s untimely death in as the finale of ‘Savage Beauty’, a posthumous retrospective that broke all records at both The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Victoria & Albert Museum.

NIGHT RITUALZ – Fuck It!
Based in the Texan city of San Antonio, and with deep roots in Mexican culture, darkwave/synth punk solo artist Night Ritualz (aka Vincent Guerrero IV) weaves Tejano influences into his songs, blending English and Spanish lyrics into music that combines atmospheric soundscapes suffused with pulse-pounding beats to tell stories that are both deeply personal and universally relatable.
Having released a number of singles since 2023, these and several new songs that include current single ’Sharing Skin’ STREAM are included on a self-titled debut album released by Metropolis Records today (7th March). He describes the record as “a time stamp in my music journey. The songs are all very different and I feel that it’s a good representation of myself and where I am at this point in my life.”
Night Ritualz initially drew inspiration from artists such as Depeche Mode, Deftones and At The Drive-In, blurring the line between dark wave, electronica, EBM and post-punk to create a genre he terms ‘Fuck Wave’.
“‘Fuck Wave’ is anything horny, erotic and sensual that just makes people feel good,”he explains. “I feel like my music puts people in that mood and allows them to just be themselves without judgement of any kind. Another reason is because, at the end of the day, ‘Fuck’ what everyone thinks. We only have one life, so spend it doing stuff you like and that makes you happy. I see it as an empowering term.”

Delving deeper into what he wants his listeners to get out of his music, he continues: “I want people to feel like I’m being real with them. I don’t write stuff to sound cool or be something I’m not. I’m telling real stories and experiences that I’ve gone through in my life. Depending on the song, I might want listeners to get hyped up to hit a club and dance with all their homies, or I might want them to plan on running away to another country to meet the love of their life.”
As for the eponymous album title: “I was thinking long term and for my first official album I wanted something that I can look back on and be proud of. Self-titling it is like a guy naming his first son Jr after himself. It would be weird to name your second kid Jr!”

Jarrod Dickenson – Temporarily Sidelined
You know, life has a way of throwing some brutal curveballs, and the news that singer-songwriter Jarrod Dickenson is battling cancer right now is one of them.
We’ve had the privilege of seeing Jarrod perform on multiple occasions, and beyond his undeniable talent, he’s a genuinely beautiful soul. It’s heart-breaking to see him facing this fight.
This is the message Jarrod has recently put out – Well, friends, sometimes life has its own set of plans, and they don’t always line up with the ones we make for ourselves. This seems to be one of those times. I was recently diagnosed with cancer – Stage 3 rectal cancer, to be precise. The good news is my doctors seem confident that this is something we can beat, though it will be a lengthy process with several months of chemotherapy, followed by more chemo and radiation, and ultimately a surgery. While I can’t say that I’m particularly looking forward to the aforementioned agenda, we’re staying positive over here, and I have every intention of sending this cancer packing, and moving on with life.
That said, this year is suddenly looking a lot different than I had planned! I’ll be largely sidelined in terms of touring, which is a real bummer (yes, pun intended… get used to it). Our May UK tour is in the process of being rescheduled as we speak. All tickets will remain valid. Stay tuned for the new dates. I’m pleased to say that we’re still doing the show tomorrow with Low Cut Connie in New York. This will be a last hurrah of sorts before I start chemo next week, so you’d better believe I’m gonna be singing my heart out.
At any rate, this year is undoubtedly going to be a trying one physically, emotionally and financially, but as I said before, I have every intention of getting to the other side of this thing. I’m also going to endeavor to be very open about the battle ahead with regular updates as and when I’m able, if for no other reason than to hopefully convince some of you to go get yourselves checked out as well!
It has been suggested by a few people that we set up a GoFundMe page. This is something that I’ve gone back and forth on, because if I’m honest, it makes me very uncomfortable, and I don’t like the idea of asking anyone for money. That said, I also can’t deny the fact that we’re going to have some pretty hefty bills this year (you’ve gotta love the American healthcare system), and my ability to work has been pretty severely hindered by this news. I had also planned on trying to make a new record this year between tours. Since being on the road is no longer in the cards, if my body is up to the task and we can swing it, I may try to record some new music between chemo treatments. The distraction would surely do me good, and maybe we can create something beautiful in the midst of some pretty serious unpleasantness. So, all that to say, if you are in a position and feel so inclined to contribute to any of those things, I won’t turn it down and I’d be very grateful… I also want to make it clear that I would never expect or presume that I am entitled to a penny from any of you. Though, as my grandfather used to say, “a few kind words” are surely welcome.
As I said, I’ll do my best to keep you all informed and up to speed on things. In the meantime, thanks for your support, your thoughts and your prayers. I truly appreciate them.

Help Jarrod
Here’s an interview we did a while back…
How does it feel to be playing Cambridge Folk Festival?
JD: It feels wonderful. We’ve wanted to play here for years and years, so very happy to be here.
Your music seems to have become more varied over the years. Your first album, The Lonesome Traveller is very soft country folk whereas the new EP, Under a Texas Sky seems a lot more diverse. Is that because your musical tastes have widened or is it that you always had those influences and now have the confidence to bring them into your music?
I think the latter. I grew up with an old hippy for a dad so I grew up listening to The Beatles, The Stones, The Who, Paul Simon, Neil Young and Bob Dylan. So there was always this singer-songwriter folk side and then rock ‘n’ roll. Then for a long time, and still to this day, I’m heavily into the blues, people like Howlin’ Wolf, BB King, Muddy Waters. So all of that has always been there.
The Lonesome Traveller was very much a story-telling record, very much a folk record. Ready The Horses was a step into a more blues minded album and there are bits of R&B and soul in there. Certainly the new EP is going even further down that direction.
“Banning assault rifles should be a no-brainer”
There is a real sixties vibe in there, as well as a bit of surf and Cajun.
I’ll definitely take that as a compliment. With that EP we wanted to pay tribute to music from Texas and Texan artists. But I also wanted to show that Texas isn’t just country music, there’s a great history of rock ‘n’ roll, blues, jazz and R&B, so we wanted to pick little bits of each.
We also picked a few names that people wouldn’t be as familiar with. Esther Phillips is one that a lot of people may not know but she was a brilliant jazz and R&B singer. Try Me is just such a powerful and stunning song that we wanted to find a way to dive into it ourselves.
You’ve moved from Texas to New York to Nashville. How do you think that has affected your musical development?
I’d like to think that it’s impacted it. There’s also a bit of a delay with these things. I lived in New York for five and a half years and love it. It still feels like home to me but we needed cheaper rent. We needed a cheaper place to ‘not be’ as we’re on the road so much. So Nashville has been that place.
I do think that your surroundings play a big part and New York is a hard place to exist. It’s a grind, much like London would be. When I wasn’t touring, the day that I got back from being on the road, I was working seven days a week in a day job. So it is a struggle. But you’re surrounded by every culture you can imagine, and every type of person, which I think is important. It shapes your worldview and shapes you as a person and that’s always going to seep into your art.
Some country purists are very scathing about Nashville and about it being the commercial side of country. What is your take on that?
There are certainly things to be avoided in Nashville as far as I’m concerned. But to me that’s a different business altogether and it’s a different thing, it’s really the entertainment business and not the music world to me. It’s very manufactured and it’s for the mass market.
I’ve peeked behind the curtain and I’ve done songwriting, co-writing and sessions with people who’ve written enormous hits for people, and I’ve seen how they work. A lot of them are brilliant songwriters. Then there are a lot who just throw out the quickest cliché and rhyme that they can get. It’s just a different way to approach it. For me, there’s nothing personal about that and it’s hard to mean it if that’s your approach. I know that some people are really great at it but for me, I think that it has to tug at your soul a little bit more.
So that exists there, that industry and that world and machinery is still in Nashville but there are a lot of people moving from New York, LA, the UK and lots of different places. There’s a scene coming up in Nashville that is very honest and very devoted to the craft of writing meaningful songs, so it’s a nice place to be
A lot of your music has a romantic quality and you work with your wife. How do you enjoy that?
It’s incredible. It’s not without its struggles financially with both of us being on the road all the time. It’s difficult to say the least. But very few people get to travel around with their spouse and even fewer get to work with them. We’re very fortunate and we’re trying our best to make that something that we do for a long time. It’s special to get on stage together every night.
Did you meet through music?
Yes, although in a roundabout way. My wife is from Belfast and I was playing at a songwriters’ festival in Belfast. She was in the advertising world at the time and was volunteering at the festival. We just happened to meet and hung out non-stop for two days straight. Then I was headed home.
We were dating immediately long-distance New York to Belfast for three and a half years and have been married now for almost four years. We joke about it now because there were times when we would go for four, five, even six months without seeing each other and now I honestly can’t remember the last time we weren’t together every day, all day. Weirdly it’s been fine.
A lot of people say, is it hard being around each other all the time and never apart? But touch wood, it’s been completely natural. We’re very fortunate.
You’ve got a whisky tour coming up. How did that come about?
We wanted to do another tour in the autumn and we wanted to make it something different to what we normally do. So it’s going to be an acoustic tour, just the two of us, myself and my wife. We’ll be crowded around a condenser mic; both singing from the same mic, nothing plugged in. We’ll do acoustic arrangements of older songs and then play a few new ones as well.
But we also wanted to make it feel like an event more than just a gig. There’s a distillery in my hometown in Texas called Balcones and we reached out to them to see if they might be interested in joining forces and thankfully they jumped at the chance.
So everyone who comes in and has a ticket will get one free whiskey upon arrival. All of the venues have given their ‘ok’, which was nice of them. It’s going to be a fun tour and something different for the fans as well.
It’s not long since the EP came out but do you have any plans to record again in the near future?
Definitely, I’ve got a pretty big batch of songs that I’m itching to get in the studio and record. It comes down to when we can afford to do it. But hopefully in the new year, we’ll make another record.
It would be strange to speak to someone originally from Texas without mentioning the terrible shooting that has happened there today. What are your feelings in relation to that?
I think it’s heartbreaking and very avoidable. It wasn’t just Texas, there was one in Ohio as well, so two mass shootings within 24 hours, and a few days before that there was one in California at a festival.
Growing up in Texas, I know and am related to plenty of gun owners. That’s one thing but to not have common sense gun laws and make it that you have to jump through hoops to own them, that is the problem. Banning assault rifles should be a no-brainer. There’s no reason why the common person needs one or should have access to one.
I understand that in the States it’s a little different because the horses are already out, so to speak, but that doesn’t warrant complete inaction either. There are definitely things that people can do and policies that can be put in place that I don’t believe infringe upon anyone’s rights but also make perfect sense and also help to avoid this kind of thing. It’s ludicrous to me that we are the only major country that hasn’t figured out how to avoid this kind of thing. It’s very saddening and it’s very frustrating and it keeps happening and nobody’s doing anything about it.
The USA is quite a divided country at the moment. Are you hopeful for the future?
I think that you have to have hope otherwise it’s a pretty miserable place to be. It’s hard right now. It is much more divided than I can ever recall in my lifetime certainly. The current administration, a lot of the things that they say and put out there are stoking fires of race and gender inequality. It seems like they’re trying their best to drive a wedge between people. That may or may not be the intent but it’s certainly what’s happening. It’s strange, you almost can’t have a conversation with somebody without it getting heated very quickly.
It seems like most of the politicians are focusing solely on keeping power and making sure that their side wins, not what’s best for the people. That’s on both sides of it, that’s not a right-wing or left-wing statement. I think it’s very clear that both sides are engaging in playground nonsense. But there has to be hope for the future otherwise what’s the point.
Let’s end on a positive note. You’re working a lot at the moment and touring – how do you relax when you get the chance?
That’s a good question. We’re on the road most of the year. Whenever we are off the road, we hardly ever leave the house! Once you’re at home and in your own bed and on your own sofa, it’s hard to want to leave, especially if you know that you’re back at it again in a week’s time. So we stay home, I read and it’s usually when I try to write as well, so the work never really stops but it’s good to work, it’s what I enjoy.

Avery Lynch – Deeply Evocative
Rising singer-songwriter Avery Lynch continues to pull on our heartstrings with her stunning new single, “think about it,” out today on RECORDS.
Known for her emotionally charged, piano-driven ballads, Avery has captivated audiences worldwide, amassing over 100 million streams since she made her debut in 2020.
“think about it” offers a poignant exploration of heartbreak and unanswered questions, inspired by Avery’s sister’s breakup. “She came to me with what she was experiencing and feeling and wanted to see if I could make something out of it,” Avery shares. “The song is ultimately about being left to piece things together after a breakup by yourself—having all of the realizations and none of the answers, and there being nothing to do about it.”
For Avery, this song holds special significance. “When I first started writing songs as a kid, I would write them about my sisters—how cool they are and how much I love them—and I would give those songs to them as gifts. So it feels very full circle writing this one for my sister and releasing it,” she explains. Notably, “think about it” also marks a milestone in Avery’s career as her first self-produced release.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Avery’s musical journey began at the age of 7, composing piano pieces before transitioning into songwriting. Now based in Los Angeles, her signature sound—lush, melancholic piano arrangements paired with her soft, expressive vocals—has become the foundation of her artistry. Every song begins with Avery at her piano, crafting intimate, emotionally rich demos that she later refines with her trusted collaborators. Her voice, tender yet deeply evocative, breathes life into her lyrics, making each song feel like a personal confession.

Often described as a “happy girl filled with sad songs,” Avery’s music is a masterclass in storytelling, inspired by her life experiences, the world around her, and the media she consumes. With praise from tastemakers like Ones To Watch and EARMILK, along with a rapidly growing fanbase, her momentum shows no signs of slowing.
“think about it” follows a string of fan-favorite singles, like “Rain” and “the boys who don’t know what they want,” setting the stage for a milestone year ahead. Once again, Avery Lynch continues to prove why she’s a standout voice in the singer-songwriter space.
