DIPLOMATICS release brand new music video for “Jungle”!
December 16 marks the release of “Is It Time To Fly?” the new album by Italy’s Diplomatics, which will be released via Go Down Records.
For their third studio album, DIPLOMATICS had some clear ideas: looking for a wave and punk-funk evolution, without losing their DNA. The sound recalls contemporary bands such as Amyl & The Sniffers, Parquet Courts, Viagra Boys and the band paid great attention to the lyrics and vocal lines, both sung and ‘spoken’ in the style of Lou Reed. The main topics are alienation, the desire to run away, loneliness, capitalist society’s hypocrisy, but also themes very dear to them like partying as a time of escape, self-expression, gathering together and the happiness of touring life.
After the release of the first two single “Go High” and “Back To You“, the band follows up today with a brand new video clip for the track “Jungle”.
DIPLOMATICS are:
Seth | guitar
Manu | guitar
Ovo | drums
Danny | vocals, harmonica, percussion
Crudo | bass
Andre | piano, keyboards
The band comments: “Jungle embraces all our influences, both past and present. It took a long time to develop and featured special contributions from Leonardo Zichè on Brazilian samba-flavored percussion and Edoardo Brunello on no-wave style sax. Moreover, we had fun with funky guitar riffs, Soul bass lines and odd times that blows the listener away. The lyrics deal with diversity and rebellion against society’s rules, encouraging people to take off the masks of conformism“.

2. Irish Whiskey (remastered)
3. Nevah (remastered)
