Prepare to be captivated by Philadelphia’s exciting new punk sensation, ERRTH.
Meet ERRTH, the latest addition to the city’s thriving music scene. Comprised of highly talented musicians, Kevin Day (Aspiga/Graduation Speech), Eric Saylor (Reunions), Tim DeMarco (formerly of Public Serpents), and Brian McClure (Seeing Snakes), ERRTH infuses their music with influences drawn from renowned punk scenes in East Bay, Chicago, and the Northeast.
Their debut EP, titled “Control / Sleep All Day,” presents two blistering tracks that showcase the band’s songwriting prowess.
First up is “Control,” a punchy and energetic number penned and sung by Kevin Day. This infectious track is highlighted by a bouncy bassline and bursts of group vocals, adding a dynamic flair to the composition. On the other hand, “Sleep All Day,” written and sung by Eric Saylor, takes a more anthemic approach, allowing the guitars to shine and create a resonant atmosphere. The EP was expertly recorded by Arik Victor (Plow United/Kill Your Idols) at Creep Recording Studio and underwent the skilled hands of Scott Goodrich (Culture Abuse/Broadway Calls) for mixing. Finally, Dave Downham (Beach Slang/mewithoutyou/Into It. Over It) lent his mastering expertise at Gradwell House, ensuring a polished final product.
For fans of The Lawrence Arms, Iron Chic, Samiam, and The Honor System, ERRTH’s music strikes a chord with its fusion of influences, paying homage to the spirit of these esteemed acts while infusing their own unique Northeastern touch. With a band dynamic that allows individual songwriters to shine while maintaining a cohesive sound, ERRTH promises a captivating musical journey that leaves listeners hungry for more.
