Kambodsja from Drammen in Norway is one of the most respected long lived underground bands in Norway.
The band only cares about making the music that comes most naturally to them there and then, without any particular guidelines, dogmas or genre rules.
This happens to result in what some have described as a mixture of skewed metal, energetic punk and progressive indie rock. For Kambodsja, music is not just a genre, but an attitude and working method characterized by curiosity and exploration rather than using old recipes.
Now, Kambodsja is back with its 5th release, “Resilient” which is set to be released on September 29th via Mas-Kina Recordings (Beaten To Death, Grant The Sun, She Said Destroy, etc…), and will once again push the aggressive music tradition into new and exciting directions
Like the previous album “Stranger”, the album is produced by Øyvind R. Gundersen (Sibiir, Rumble in Rhodos, Hanne Kolstø, Louien ++). Together they went to out in the woods to Portåsen – the home of the famous Norwegian writer, Herman Wildenvey. There they recorded an album loosely inspired by poetry, the struggle against oneself, and inner demons. The result is a varied journey through different genres and moods.
