Fresh off their explosive collaboration with AC/DC’s Brian Johnson on the single “V.O.V,” Welsh titans Himalayas have announced a major headline tour kicking off this summer!
“V.O.V,” is a powerful anthem of resistance. Johnson, impressed by Himalayas’ music, gifted the lyrics to the band, leading to a true rock and roll dream come true. Produced by the acclaimed Dan Lancaster (Blink-182, Muse, Bring Me The Horizon), “V.O.V” is another notch on Himalayas’ ever-growing list of achievements.
Last year, Himalayas unleashed their critically acclaimed debut album “From Hell To Here,” which has garnered nearly 20 million streams on Spotify alone and pushed the band’s total streams past a staggering 70 million. The 12-track album, mixed by GRAMMY Award-winning producer Dave Sardy (Royal Blood, Rage Against The Machine, Oasis), features hit singles like “Leave This Place,” “From Hell To Here,” and more.
Himalayas have garnered fantastic support across radio and tastemakers from BBC Radio One’s Rock show with Daniel P Carter and Alyx Holcombe to Nels Hylton, host of BBC Radio One’s Future Alternative, declared them “heirs to the indie rock throne.” The band have also previously been added to playlists such as Walk Like A Badass (2.3 million+ likes) and The Rock List (798k+ likes), on Spotify.
Himalayas are a powerhouse live act, having honed their craft with relentless touring throughout 2023. This included supporting alt/rock duo Loveless, sold-out hometown shows, and festival appearances at Reeperbahn, Mad Cool, and Reading & Leeds. This year sees the band support Taking Back Sunday at O2 Kentish Town Forum in March and Foo Fighters at their Cardiff hometown gig before embarking on their headline tour in June.
