Celebrated Austin, TX band Shane Smith & the Saints released a new version of their track “Lord Bury Me In Texas,” which originally appeared on their much-loved 2015 album Geronimo.
The track was included in Episode 3 of the new Taylor Sheridan series Landman, which aired last night, November 24th, on Paramount+. Listen to the 2024 version of “Lord Bury Me In Texas” HERE.
Just back from UK dates with Kaleo, Shane Smith & the Saints recently announced new 2025 tour dates in support of their critically-acclaimed album Norther. Shane Smith & the Saints recently packed the house for two nights Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium in late October. Along with the Ryman, the group has sold out shows throughout the country, including venues such as Chicago’s House of Blues, Washington, DC’s 9:30 Club, Cleveland’s Beachland Ballroom, Asheville’s Orange Peel, Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse, and many more.
Released last spring via Thirty Tigers/Geronimo West Records, Norther marks Shane Smith & the Saints’ long-awaited first record in five years. The album’s 13 tracks feature an eclectic blend of country, Celtic, Southern rock, folk, and honky-tonk. Norther has received high praise from the press (see highlights), including an in-depth feature in Rolling Stone and the band’s network television debut on CBS Saturday Morning. The group recently made their Grand Old Opry debut and appeared on the Emmy Award-winning PBS series The Caverns Sessions.
