The pop culture shockwave is back—dripping with synth-fuelled lust and a rebellious twist on ‘80s adult film soundscapes.
Sex-O-Rama returns on March 7 with “Invaders from the Pleasure Planet,” a double LP packed with sultry grooves, scandalous satire, and enough funk to make your libido beg for mercy.
Born from the fiery frustration of classical music’s uptight world, Sex-O-Rama is the bad boy of Porn-Funk, a satirical sonic rebellion that turns taboo into pure ecstasy. Led by Carvin Knowles and Adam Pike, their mission was simple: take the sweaty, uninhibited funk of ’70s adult film scores and inject it with razor-sharp humor and erotic energy.

Their raunchy rhythms first made waves in the late ’90s, landing in everything from cult films to controversy-laced debates. Boycotts? Scandals? They thrived on it. The outrage only fueled their fire, solidifying their reputation as the ultimate musical tease—too funky to ignore, too filthy to forget.
Now, they’re back—and this time, it’s intergalactic.
“Invaders from the Pleasure Planet” is a pulsating, synth-laced tribute to the unapologetic decadence of the 1980s—an era of neon lights, VHS smut, and wild fantasies made real. Think deep basslines grinding against sweaty synths, moaning melodies dripping with desire, and beats that thrust their way into your subconscious.
This double LP fuses digitally remastered classics with fresh, vintage-infused tracks that’ll have you begging for more:
“Whips and Chains”—a symphonic seduction that defies harmonic norms.
“Brats in the Boudoir”—a playful, pop-culture-infused kink fest.
“Virtual Reality Vixens”—a sci-fi synth fantasy straight out of your wettest dreams.
Knowles recalls, “We asked ourselves—what if THOSE GUYS made music in the ’80s? What would porn sound like in the age of New Wave? This is our answer. Half of these tracks were written decades ago, the rest were a creative sprint. Hell, I even had a heart attack mid-recording. We joked about hospital porn, and that’s how ‘Wet Nurse’ was born. That’s the kind of band we are.”
Through all the chaos, one thing remains the same: Sex-O-Rama still knows how to turn you on.
Provocative. Parodic. Pure Pleasure.
Brace yourself—“Invaders from the Pleasure Planet” drops March 2025.
