Photo London have decided to accelerate the launch of our online Academy. As we wait for the Fair to return in the autumn, the Photo London Academy will entertain global audience with a range of exciting digital initiatives.
As a first step, they’re delighted to launch the Talks Archive, which brings together the video recordings of the world-class panels and talks held at Photo London over the past five years. The Talks Archive is a free resource that gives everyone access to conversations with over 100 artists and curators, including Sebastiao Salgado, Edward Burtynsky, Hannah Starkey, Don McCullin, Liz Johnson Arthur, Martin Parr, Stephen Shore, Susan Meiselas, Taryn Simon, Simon Baker, Hans Ulrich Obrist & Isaac Julien.
The inaugural talk to be published from the Archive is the 2019 sold-out conversation between the iconic fashion photographer Tim Walker in conversation with V&A Curator Susanna Brown. The talk touches upon Tim’s eclectic sources of inspiration, the importance of make-believe, and his newest and most ambitious collaborations.
Visit the website to watch Tim Walker’s talk, discover new videos added daily and hear the world’s leading photographers and renowned experts from the photography industry, discussing their art and their journeys!
