Ahead of their anticipated headline slot at the Download Festival District X Community Takeover on Wednesday 12th June, Brighton’s Bleed Again have released a brand new single called PARASITE.
PARASITE is the first new release from the band since their well-received 2021 album ‘Resurgence’. Taking in their years of experience and evolution, each new cycle brings a new level of excellence and the new track is no different.
Working with Oz Craggs at Hidden Track Studios on mix and mastering, Bleed Again are set to deliver a crushingly huge reminder of why people love this band!
BLEED AGAIN are:
James Dawson – Lead Vocal
Sam Jones – Rhythm Guitar/Vocals
Simon Williams – Lead Guitar
Chris Pratt – Bass
Oscar Simpson – Drums
As the new single PARASITE worms its way into existence, the band are getting their A-game ready for the headline slot on the Download Festival District X Community Takeover. Bleed Again are a family, and as everyone who experiences the magic of Download know, the festival is a family reunion, Chris (bass) explains it like this:
“For the last 10 years, Download has been a place I felt I could call Home! Through all the mud and sunburn, I’ve met the most incredible people and have the privilege to call them my Friends!
Last year was the 1st time going without our very good friend Olaf, who we sadly lost to cancer and this year I questioned if I could go back again… Then, to be asked to play and HEADLINE, it wasnt even a question!
Get your arse back home! Make new incredible friends and unbelievable memories! And most importantly… Play your heart out (can’t wait to hear the reaction to our new single!!!) knowing he’ll be up front at that barrier watching somewhere… Download! Be Ready!”.
Guitarist Sam agrees and adds,
“Having grown up spending hours watching youtube videos of Download performances from Metallica, Lamb of God, Slipknot and Linkin Park (just to name a few), it feels very surreal.
As well as that, it does feel the perfect time for us to take this big step forward as a band and it’s not one we’re taking lightly.
It’ll be the performance of our lives and I for one cannot wait to take the stage, especially to play the new song ‘Parasite’ and see a few thousand people lose their sh*t to it!”
