Montreal-based rock/metal powerhouse Deadly Apples have premiered the new music video for their highly anticipated single, “Volatile,” now streaming on all major platforms.
Directed by Antoine Lamothe and executive produced by Alex Martel, the video made its exclusive debut at Montreal Fetish Weekend, with an in-person-only screening. The band collaborated closely with Montreal’s vibrant latex, fetish, and BDSM community, bringing an edgy, visually intense aesthetic that perfectly complements the track’s dark, aggressive sound.
Since its release, “Volatile” has racked up over 88,000 streams on Spotify in just five days, debuting on Apple Music’s Breaking Hard Rock playlist and earning a spot on Spotify’s All New Metal—cementing Deadly Apples’ reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the modern metal scene.
Renowned for their electrifying performances, the band delivers a monumental track that features guest appearances by Richard Patrick of Filter and Danny Lohner of Nine Inch Nails.
“Volatile” marks the first single from the band’s upcoming album, DISTRESS, slated for release this summer. Produced by Lamothe, mixed by Ben Grosse (Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode), and with pre-production helmed by Michael Beinhorn (Korn, Soundgarden), “Volatile” is a testament to the band’s dedication to working with some of the most respected names in rock and metal.
“My brothers from the north have concocted a wild, stirring, and decadent collection of songs. ‘Volatile’ is but a glimpse into their madness,” said Ben Grosse.
Richard Patrick shared his enthusiasm about working on the track: “When I heard that Alex and Antoine were working on a new Deadly Apples album and my pals Danny Lohner and Ben Grosse were involved, I was stoked when they asked me to sing on ‘Volatile.’ The track reminds me of old-school industrial metal, much like Skinny Puppy, Filter, and Nine Inch Nails.”
Deadly Apples have built a loyal following thanks to their unique sound and relentless touring schedule, which has seen them share the stage with rock and metal heavyweights around the globe such as Korn, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Deftones, and Rammstein.
