Genre-bending duo ET Boys are back with their first release of 2025, single and video “Far Away,” produced by Platinum-winning producer David Gnozzi of Mixbus TV, due out January 29, 2025.
The pair have achieved 3 number ones on the Digital Radio Tracker Independent Charts for “Bong Bong,” “This Is Us,” and “Until Forever,” which also was an Untapped KAZI Austin chart-topper.
Currently, they have several songs charting on DRT Global, Independent and Hip Hop Charts, including “Love Me If You Must.” Their first release, “Sober,” has achieved over 1 million streams on Spotify while their first album, Forever Night has streamed over 3 million. Their recent EP “Paopu” released in May 2024, hit over 1M streams on Spotify, garnering over 117k monthly listeners on Spotify.
The ET Boys are two Latino brothers named Tacboy and Sharkeyes. Born in Chicago but hailing from South Florida, Tacboy takes lead as the vocalist/ lyricist, composing the songs written and performed by Sharkeyes. As genre benders, the ET Boys can be described as Nu Alt Pop, but they have self-described as “ET Style,” featuring video game-esque beats that have become iconic to their signature sound.
Their previous releases have been widely praised by the press and listeners alike, celebrating Tacboy and Sharkeyes for their creative ingenuity. Tacboy continues to establish himself as a singer with his unique melodies and range, as well as his style and interpretation of the songs, playing off of his brother Sharkeyes in beats, production, and innovative synth work. On the forthcoming “Far Away,” Tacboy reveals, “the song was inspired by how I was feeling on a sad, sweet, but sad night, and the video is inspired by my love for early pop punk bands.”
The ET Boys grew up in a home where dancers, musicians and music were present. From sitar sounds in utero to the deep rhythms of Flamenco and The Doors, they were babies when they first were on stage with their mother, House Vocalist and Wake Up! Music Record Label owner, Pepper Gomez. Tacboy, a signed model to a top agency in NYC, is mysterious and poetry flows out of him effortlessly as he plays with the music – often on the first take. He is the front man who can mesmerize both with his voice and his looks, not to mention his lyrics. Sharkeyes provides all the tracks for Tacboy to create upon, and his tunes are distinguished by a variety of influences, his own personal drum beats and interplaying melodies.
Through their adventures in their lives, Tacboy and Sharkeyes have no shortage of inspiration, which is why their music has such a vast net, shifting between up-tempo bangers and chill vibes with feeling. As they continue to expand thanks to the listeners, the ET Boys are looking forward to releasing their next full-length in 2025.
