The Modern Standards Supergroup play a mixture of their own original compositions and jazz interpretations of flagship songs from genres we all know and love.
This spectacular supergroup of musicians have formed to renew and update the jazz standard repertoire performing jazz takes on songs by Nirvana, Seal, Soungarden and Patti Smith and blend them seamlessly with a few of their own originals.
Harvey Mason is a member of Fourplay and the original drummer for
Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters.
Felix Pastorius is the son of bass legend Jaco Pastorius.
Ernie Watts has performed with Buddy Rich, Marvin Gaye & The Rolling Stones.
Niels Lan Doky has performed with John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Joe Henderson and has released 37 albums as a bandleader.
