In their follow up to hit Bleed Together, VALA show off their poppy side with Fishes.
It’s as catchy as it comes with sleek vocals, melodies and hooks galore. Fishes blends mesmerising processed vocals over sparkling guitars and striking drums as VALA continue to dip their toes into a future-pop sound whilst maintaining their indie hero status.
Not the simple pop song it sounds on the surface, Fishes is a lasagne of layers that delves deep and could be one of the best tracks of the year.
With a genre-crossing sound VALA are a fusion of indie rock and pop, incorporating melodic hooks and smooth guitar riffs which has seen them likened to indie giants like The Strokes, Willie J. Healey and more. VALA will return home to Manchester to headline The Deaf Institute with support from Foxglove for S.J.M. Concerts on November 17th.
